As a petite girl (5'1 and a half, the half is important, ok!) I constantly struggle with finding pyjamas and loungewear that fit my legs without looking overly baggy. I know they're only for bed and lounging on Sundays and on cold nights, but I still want to look good don't I? I mean, what if I get a delivery I've forgotten about? It does happen more than I should admit, and I would hate to scare the Hermes man in a pair of pyjama bottoms so baggy they give off MC Hammer vibes.

To tackle this problem, one of my go-to's for perfect pyjamas and loungewear is ASOS's petite section. There's a great choice of styles that are comfortable, fit perfect and make you feel fab. You won't get much done on these gorgeous pieces on a Sunday - you'll be too busy trying to get the perfect Instagram shot to show them off!

In my hope to persuade you, I've included some of my favourites from my Christmas wishlist below..

See what I mean?

I've also included my absolute favourite lounge set, a grey marl jersey set with lace detailing down the sleeves and legs. The legs also feature cuffs to the ankles, which for me is always an absolute winner in pyjamas or lounge bottoms as I find them far more flattering than loose fitting pants.

So, if you're like me and struggling to find petite pyjamas that make you feel fab for bed, and hadn't already checked out ASOS, go have a look!

Christmas is fast approaching, and if you're anything like me, you've got a dozen meals, parties and work events to get dressed up for.

There's also usually the issue of how dressy these events are - a ball gown is too much, but trousers are most likely too casual.. Are sequins appropriate, it is Christmas after all? Or how high is too high for the heels? So many questions and a lot of stress!

Well, I think I've found the perfect party season piece that can be worn in many ways, for many occasions.

This silver "Midi Flounce" skirt is from Zara and is perfect for Christmas parties and meals alike.
Firstly, the colour is beautiful! And secondly, it's only £29.99, which is a bargain in my opinion.

For my do, I paired the skirt with this pink blouse from ASOS, some Miss Selfridge black and gold heels, and my trusty Mulberry clutch.

However, I do think this can be dressed down slightly with ankle boots (see my next post coming up, featuring some fab velvet ankle boots!), or even worn with flats if you fancy.

You could swap out the blouse for a cami or crop top for something less formal, or add some fur in to ramp up the Christmas vibe.

It's finally that time of year again! Snow has started to fall, the days are getting shorter and the log burner is being used more frequently in our house.

Trying to keep warm outside of the house has proved pretty easy this year too, and one of my winter favourites is this Animal Print Frock Coat from Zara.

Leopard print is one of my favourite trends this season and I'm loving it on fur, blouses, ankle boots, but especially on this coat! At only £69.99 it's a little on the pricey side (in my opinion!), but as it's a staple piece it's worth the money, and will last well into the spring as it isn't too thick or heavy.

Below is how I wore my coat recently for a date day with James, where we went for afternoon tea at Crewe Hall. I teamed it with a Petite black long-sleeve tee and Petite Jamie jeans from Topshop, and an old favourite pair of Miss Selfridge heels.

So earlier this month it was my 25th birthday, and this year I decided to celebrate a little more than usual!

Myself and my partner in crime James spent the day in Manchester shopping, before eating at Fazenda (amazing, by the way) and then a few cheeky cocktails at Manchester House looking out over the city.

We don't live too far from Manchester, but while planning my birthday we decided it would be much nicer to stay in a hotel so that we didn't have to get an early train home (and interrupt cocktails!) so after some research I booked a room at the Townhouse Hotel.

It was beautiful and the room was huge! We were also in one of the corner rooms which meant we had a big corner sash window looking out over the city lights. We will definitely be staying there again!

Just to drag the celebrations out a little longer, I went shopping (again!) the next day with my Mum and my Nana (both big shoppers and bad influences, just so you know where I get it from).

And that's how I ended up purchasing my Lulu Guinness handbag, which I absolutely love!

I wanted a simple, black bag that I could use daily but I also wanted to treat myself, it was my birthday after all. I saw this one and fell in love with the classic Lulu Guinness lips on the front pocket.

Large enough to fit all my bits in for my commute to work, this is easily my new favourite!

Ps. Post to come on this leopard print coat..

So if you're currently reading this post, you've either stumbled across it, or you've come back for a second helping. If you've come back for more - thank you!

In this post I wanted to talk about my ultimate favourite trend for this season; ruffles.

They're everywhere - on dresses (like the floral Topshop number in my last post), on jumpers, t-shirts and blouses. Every fashion retailer is tapping into this trend right now and I'm loving it!
Some of the styles can be a little overwhelming however, so I've included some of the pieces that I currently love and think are really easy to wear.

This grey ruffle sleeve t-shirt is from Topshop, and because it's so basic with just a small frill detail to the sleeve it's so versatile. It looks great with a pair of jeans and ankle boots or with a skirt to dress it up a little. Team it with a statement necklace if you're feeling extra fancy!

The second style that I think is really easy to wear is also from Topshop (absolutely loving their Autumn pieces!)
This Frill Neck Top features a roll neck - I personally prefer to wear this with the neck folded down but it looks great up too.

With this being one of Topshop's basic tops, it comes in a variety of colours, and again with it being relatively plain other than the frill detailing to the neck, cuffs and hem, it can be worn with almost anything!

In my first blog post, I wanted to talk about my current favourite piece for Autumn.

While the days are getting shorter, it's dark when we wake up and it's dark when we get in from work, there's no need to wrap up like a chunky human burrito all the time (as cosy as that is!)

This floral dress from Topshop is perfect for Autumn - the print is beautiful, and it can be dressed up or down which is great for those of us who can't afford two separate outfits!

I chose my favourite Zara suede ankle boots to dress down for a day out in Manchester, and switched it up with some River Island lace up shoes for an evening look.

The dress has an open back and tie up features to the back and sleeves, as well as ruffle detailing to the front, back and hem. With ruffles playing a big part in this season's trends, this dress is spot on and a key piece in my wardrobe.
