So Nice I Bought It Twice

My first ever blog post - which yes, wasn't really that long ago - was all about the most gorgeous floral tea dress from Topshop and how I dressed it up or down. This was one of my favourite pieces over winter as it kept me bright through the dark, cold months, and looked great for any occasion.
But then, low and behold, I came across a red version of this dress, which has been brightened up for sunnier days as we move into spring.

I couldn't resist purchasing! I literally have the most perfect occasion coming up that I could wear this for, but while I was trying it on I thought I'd write a little something about it because I just can't wait until the end of April.

Red is a key colour for this season and looks AMAZING in small doses to add a pop of colour to an outfit, but this dress is quite bright and might be a little scary for some people. I have to admit it does wash me out slightly with my I've-not-been-on-holiday-in-about-sixty-years paleness (bit dramatic but you get my point), but with a tan I think it will look much nicer!

I decided to go for a casual look, and teamed the dress with my leather jacket, also from Topshop petite range, and my Boohoo velvet ankle boots.

Full the full look I went with my Tokyo handbag from Boutique of Molly - you can use promo code EMMAJADE20 for 20% off everything on their website.

While I was talking about the black floral tea dress, I thought I'd include some photos of how I recently styled this dress (yes I'm outfit repeating, there's a blog post coming soon talking about that too!).

  1. What beautiful dresses! I love the floral prints, the look of the fabric, the shape and drape of the dresses - they look beautiful both in black and in that beautiful bright red! I can see why you'd want to own that Topshop dress in both colours!
